Every ten years, the Dragon picks out a girl to come live with him. For what reasons? I have no fckin clue. This year, Agnieszka thinks that her bestie Kasia will be chosen because she's smart and pretty but he ends up choosing her. Why? Again. I have no fuckin clue! So Agnieszka finds herself living in this castle alone with the Dragon. He tries to teach her some magic. Shit happens and Kasia is in danger because she has been corrupted. Blah blah blah they save her. They also save the queen that has been corrupted. Dragon falls in love with Agnieska. Blah blah blah. It all ends well and they live happily ever after.
Honestly, I would've never thought that they were in love. Dragon was such an ass. Hate him. WHERE ARE THE FEELS? I don't ship it. Also, as much as I love my best friend, I wouldn't go through extreme measures to save them and risk my life in the process. I felt like everything for Agnieska was just too easy. She never really failed at anything even thought she said that her friend Kasia was better. But that's the thing you know? The author didn't show it. She just wrote it. So I didn't FEEL shit while reading this. Kinda disappointed.
Meh. Let's just say that I wouldn't buy this book, but the general idea and the world reminds me a bit of The School of Good and Evil, a book that I really adored therefore it's a 2.5 stars for me...for the effort.
